Work residency in the UAE

The UAE work residence permit allows individuals to live and work in the country for two years, with the option to renew annually in accordance with the established regulations. The permit is issued through an accredited employer or organization, granting holders the opportunity to seek employment and transfer their residency to a new employer upon securing a suitable job.

The UAE work residence offers freedom of movement within the country and access to various services, such as opening a bank account, obtaining an Emirates ID, acquiring a driving license, and sponsoring family members according to approved requirements. Additionally, holders can apply for loans and benefit from financial facilities offered by local banks.

The residence permit is issued within up to 14 working days after completing all required procedures and documentation.

Requirements include:

• A valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the application date.
• A recent passport-sized photo with a white background.
